Art gallery G. Vaschenko

Art gallery G. Vaschenko was opened in 2002. It is situated in Gomel (Belarus) at Karpovicha St, 4. You are welcome to visit our exhibitions and we also offer You the cooperation in the sphere of fine arts.
The exhibitions of the gallery can be divided into 3 parts. At the second floor you can find pieces of art by native of Gomel region, National artist of the Republic of Belarus, professor, Academician of art Gavriil Vaschenko. Cambridge International Biographical Center granted him The Twentieth Century Award for achievement, twice (1992,1994) granted him The Year Award for achievement and in 1999 conferred him with an honorary appointment to Research Board of Advisor. The exhibition includes his 70 paintings, water-colors, sketches, fragments and photos of monumental works what, in our opinion, can be interesting for pupils and students as well as for adults.
The second part of our collection includes 70 works of art by modern Belarusian artists who were friends, colleagues and pupils of the artist: L. Schemelev, Z. Litvinova, A. Posledovich, A. Los, V. Savich. The works were presented by the artist's wife - Matilda Vaschenko.
The show-rooms of the first floor are used for exchangeable exhibitions. They are usually held for 3 weeks. During 2002 there were 14 exhibitions in the gallery. There were two regional exhibitions, photos from Mexico, exhibition of Nikolay K. Reorich from the stock of International Reorich Center in Moscow, exhibition of modern Belarusian artists from the stock of Museum of Modern Fine Arts (Minsk), which presented our republic during the days of national arts in France (Paris, Pier Cordan Center, April 2002) etc.
There are 2 guides in the gallery, conference hall, video. You can even order the theme of excursion. We are ready for cooperation with every interested person.
The gallery is opened: Wednesday - Sunday, 11.00-19.00 (entrance till 18.30).
